This week marks a new beginning for Troon (and us too.) It's been a brilliant few days in some respects, and terribly sad (for us) in others. But the important thing is, it's been a brilliant week for Troon :)
For personal (family) reasons, Troon has gone to stay with her half-brother, Arnie, and his parents Sarah & Matt. Sarah is particularly well-equipped to look after Troon as she has a PhD in animal behavior (at least that's my very un-technical interpretation of her degree), not to mention a lot of love for vizslas :) Arnie is nearly 1 year old, and the resemblence between him & Troon is quite remarkable - bar the fact that he is one BIG vizsla! They all love the outdoors and spend lots of time on the beach, mountains, woodlands, and on parents farm. Three days in, Arnie and Troon are inseparable, not to mention exhausted.
I keep telling myself not to be sad, and I must say the same to Troon's readers; Troon is in excellent hands and she is very, very happy, as you will see. Sarah has kindly agreed to keep us up to date with lots of photos and videos. So All Things Troon will not end here, it's just a new chapter, one we will call Arnie & Troon (like Benny & Joon ;)
Huge thanks to Sarah, Matt, and Arnie for making this transition better than any of us could have imagined!

Dear Troon we have followed your blog for ages (and have tried not to mind too much that you are SO pretty - like Ditto)We see lots of your brothers and sisters at shows btw. What a handsome family. And so now you live with hunky Arnie. Lucky you! (He visited us last year - what a lovely boy. And as for Sarah and Matt well you've already found out just how great they are )
Dear Arnie welcome to blogworld -we look forward to hearing all about your life, loves and adventures. Ginger ones XXX
Hoo-ray for Troon she has a playmate! It's hard to make decisions like this for our furry kids. Respect you for making the tuff call. But like you said it's not the end .... Arnie has joined in the bloggery fun. OH can't wait to see those pictures
Troon, so glad you found a suitable new home. Looking at your photos reminded me of myself and Dexter. I think at first Dexter was a little jealous of having to share his Mum but we soon became the best of friends and now we would hate to be parted. I am sure you and Arnie will soon become the same :-)
Hey and its great having someone else to try and lay the blame on doing something wrong (not that I do naughty things really) but Dexter has this habit of looking really guilty should anything be slightly amiss and so I never look in the slightist bit guilty... but somehow this doesnt work and Mum generally knows it was me.
Look forward to hearing your updates
A big kiss from your sister Ditto
